Unity has a cool Sprite Mask tool which is very useful. A Sprite Mask is a tool that reveals or hides certain sprites in your game, depending on their "Mask Interaction" setting. For example, if I chose "Visible Inside Mask", the sprite would only be visible if you put the sprite mask over it. And in this project you will find how it works
